The crack on the surface is said to be about 25 millimeters beneath the surface and officials say it seems to be getting wider. The highway authority says the current rain that has been hitting different parts of the country have made matters worse. This comes just days after huge gullies erupted in the region swallowing what residents say was a house,a dam, trees and farmland. The gullies have been getting bigger and deeper and now they have found their way to the main highway.
