A Tribute to Jason Richards

This is bradk12fan's Tribute to Jason Richards. Jason Richards started racing when he was 8 in New Zealand. Jason Richards would win only 1 race in V8 Supercars, and finish on the podium 5 times. In November 2010 he was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. Jason immediately stepped away from the seat. Jason would return to run some races in 2011 in the Australian Grand Touring Series, and the Fujitsu V8 Series. In his only races in the Fujitsu series, Richards would earn an emotional win at Adelaide, which propelled him to attempt a return to V8 Supercars. In his return, Richards would finish 3rd, and earn a podium finish. Jason Richards passed away in December 2011 at his home. The song is Life Must Go On by Alter Bridge. I DO NOT claim ANY of the footage, photos, video, or music in this tribute as my own.

A Tribute to Richie Evans

This is bradk12fan's tribute to The King of the Modifieds, Richie Evans. Richie Evans started racing in 1962 at Utica-Rome Speedway. Richie Evans won the Nascar Whelen Modified Tour Championship 9 times, including 8 straight. His first title came in 1973. He would win again from 1978-1985. Richie would also win 28 track championships at 11 different tracks, across 4 different states. Richie Evans will be inducted to the Nascar Hall of Fame this year. Richie Evans has 478 KNOWN career wins in Nascar's modified series, there are several tracks with incomplete records. Richie also has 2 career wins in Nascar's now-defunct Limited Sportsman Series. Richie won the Modified race of champions 3 times, and twice at the Modified races held at Daytona International Speedway. One of Richie's most famous races was with his rivals, Geoffrey Bodine, and Jerry Cook at Martinsville Speedway. Bodine tried to pass Evans on the last lap, with Jerry Cook on their tails, and the two crashed to the line, Evan's car rode up the wall and still crossed the line first in one of the most exciting finishes ever in the Modified Series. Richie was willing to help his competitors, pointing them in the right direction, and even telling others what set-up he was using. Richie was killed in an accident in practice for the final race of the 1985 season at Martinsville Speedway. Evans had clinched the title the week before. Richie's number 61, is the only number to ever be retired in any Nascar Series. This ...

A Tribute to Rick Huseman

This is bradk12fan's tribute to Rick Huseman. Rick Huseman started racing in 1999. Rick Huseman was a 2-time Champion in what is now the Traxxas TORC off-road racing series. He won both championships back-to-back. Rick earned 18 career wins in Pro 4 throughout his career. The 2008 TORC championship came down to a tie-breaker between Rick and Carl Renezeder, Rick had 2 wins, Carl had 4. He was named 2010's Driver of the Year by Dirt Sports Magazine. Rick also had 5 career Pro 2 victories. Rick and Jeff Huseman died in a plane crash just hours after the tragic crash that took the life of Dan Wheldon. Rick was a brother, a son, a husband, and a father. It is said that champions are not made, they are forged, and Rick Huseman forged his career himself with his family run team. The song is Where The Streets Have No Name by U2. I DO NOT claim any of the music, footage, or videos in this video as mine own.

About 2 months ago I started thinking about taking a break or making less crash compilations because I had to remake 3 because of the song. Then there was the crash that ultimately took Dan Wheldon from us, and that only gave me more reason to make less crash comps, so for the time being, I'm going to focus primarily on tribute videos, and Nascar Through the Years. ~ bradk12fan Also, I have to send a shout out to NascarNixon for helping suggest and find footage for me. And I have to thank all 1027 subscribers for viewing and subscribing to us!

A Tribute to Francois Cevert

Tribute from Nothingman. Albert Francois Cevert was born on February 25, 1944 in Paris France. At 16 he was racing scooters with his friends on the streets of Paris and then moved to karting. At the end of 1964 he went to the racing school at Montlhery. In 1966 he entered the Volant Shell competition and beat Patrick Depailler to the prize: a fully-sponsored season in French F3 with an Alpine-Renault. At the end of the first season he was offered a contract with a factory team but he turned it down and raced for Tecno instead and won the French title that season. Cevert made his F2 debut that same year with Tecno and won at Reims in a non-championship race. In 1970 he stayed with Tecno and raced Matra sports cars as well until Johnny Servoz-Gavin, who retired from F1 in the mid-season, and Ken Tyrrell signed Cevert to be Jackie Stewart's teammate at Tyrrell. He made his debut at the Dutch GP and was soon consistently scoring points. The following season Stewart and Cevert finished 1-2 at the French GP and at the end of the year, Francois won the United States GP (at Watkins Glen). As Stewart's pupil, he raced successfully in F1 and F2 in 1971 and showed his versatility by winning in touring cars and CanAm. Francois Cevert was being groomed to take over as Tyrrell team leader in 1974 but was killed while battling for pole position during qualifying for the 1973 US Grand Prix (at Watkins Glen) when the car flipped and landed on top of the barrier. Francois was 29 years old ...

A Tribute to Dan Wheldon

Last Sunday, the motorsports world stood still. Everyone was glued to the Indycar race in Las Vegas on their tvs, the internet, and the radio, hoping and praying for Dan Wheldon to be alright. Sadly it was not meant to be. This has to be one of the toughest videos that I have ever had to make, especially since Dan Wheldon was on of my favorite Indycar drivers. Dan Wheldon started racing in Indycar in 2003 driving for Andretti-Green Racing. He would get his first win in 2004 and end the season tied for first in points with Sam Hornish Jr. Hornish Jr. would earn the title by having 4 season wins to Wheldon's 2. Dan Wheldon would return for the 2005 season racking up 6 season wins, an Indycar series record at the time, and winning the illustrious Indianapolis 500, becoming only the 3rd Englishman to win the 500. Wheldon won the 2005 Indycar Series Championship. In 2007, Wheldon would move to Target Chip Ganassi Racing where he would earn several wins. In 2009, Wheldon moved to Panther Racing, where he'd finish 2nd in the Indianapolis 500 2 years in a row. 2011 found Wheldon without a full-time ride for the first time. Wheldon landed a ride for the Indianapolis 500 with former teammate, turned car owner, Bryan Herta. On the final land, Wheldon would pass the wrecked car of JR Hildebrand for his second Indianapolis 500 win, his 16th, and final career Indycar victory. Wheldon, still without a ride, was chosen by Indycar to help develop and test the new Indycar Dallara chassis ...

A Tribute to Bobby Hamilton Sr.

This is bradk12fan's tribute to Bobby Hamilton Sr. Bobby Hamilton Sr. started out racing late models in Nashville. He got his chance in NASCAR when he became a stunt driver in the Tom Cruise movie Days of Thunder. He would eventually earn a ride in the Busch Grand National Series. Bobby also earned himself the 1991 Rookie of the Year award in the Cup series. Bobby would move up to the Winston Cup Series and earn his first victory driving for Richard Petty at Petty Enterprises. He would later drive for Morgan-Mclure Motorsports and Andy Petree Racing where he would earn his final career Cup series victory. Bobby started Bobby Hamilton Racing in 1996 as a truck series team. He would drive full-time in the Craftsmen Truck Series for himself starting in 2003, winning the championship in 2004. Bobby would earn his final victory at Mansfield Motorsports Park in Ohio in 2005. Early in 2006 Bobby was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. He died in January of 2007.
A Tribute to Dale Earnhardt Sr.

This is Nothingman's 200th video. 5 years ago today, I launched my first ever video (Unbelievable Crashes 1) on my original site zzzbbbccc. After so many years of making videos, and with this being such a special post for me, I feel it is only fitting I made this video for the driver who caused me to become interested in auto racing, Dale Earnhardt. During Dale's 27 year NASCAR career, he won 76 races, including the 1998 Daytona 500, the 1995 Brickyard 400, and the 2000 Winston 500. Earnhardt made a quick name for himself, winning in just his 16th start, in a car that was not a real contender. Earnhardt would eventually go on to win the 1979 Rookie of the Year. The following year he would go on to win his first of seven NASCAR Winston Cup Championship, and became the only driver to win Rookie of the Year, and the Championship in consecutive seasons. Despite all the championships, and wins, Dale always had the worst luck at the biggest race of the year. For 19 years, Dale attempted to win the Daytona 500, just to leave heartbroken because of misfortune. Finally in 1998, Dale was able to take the checkered flag at the race he tried so hard to win. 3 years later, at the same race. Dale lost his life after he slammed head on into the turn 4 wall on the last lap of the 2001 Daytona 500. He was 49 years old. I would like to thank every person who has helped me during the last 5 years when i comes to movie making. Hopefully in the years to come, BradK12fan, and myself can ...

A Tribute to Ayrton Senna

A film from Nothingman. This is a tribute to 3 time World Champion Ayrton Senna. Senna is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of auto racing. During his brief career, Senna had 41 wins and 80 podiums in 162 races, as well as 65 poles. Senna began his motorsport career in karting, moving up to open-wheel racing in 1981 and winning the British Formula 3 championship in 1983. He made his Formula One debut with Toleman-Hart in 1984 before moving to Lotus-Renault the following year and winning six Grands Prix over the next three seasons. In 1988, he joined Frenchman Alain Prost at McLaren-Honda. Between them, they won all but one of the sixteen Grands Prix that year and Senna his first World Championship. Prost claimed the championship in 1989 and Senna his second and third championships in 1990 and 1991. In 1992, the Williams-Renault combination began to dominate Formula One. Senna nonetheless managed to finish the 1993 season as runner-up, winning five races and negotiating a move to Williams in 1994. Senna was killed in a crash while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix and is the last driver to die at the wheel of a Formula One car. He was 34 years old.
