      <title>Little Miss Sunshine in Jamaica</title>
<description>Like and share it? It'll only take you a second! Shot at The Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica in August of 2011. The camera used was a Canon T2i and I switched between two primes, a 20mm and a 35mm. A lot of the footage was shot in 60fps and later conformed to 24fps with Cinema Tools. The overhead shots were done using a monopod. During the zip-lining at YS falls I was brave enough to strap my camera onto my chest and shoot the waterfall in slow mo as I swung by. I focused solely on beautiful cinematography without wanting to add a single frame of VFX to this piece. It should show you the amazing things you can do with a simple HDSLR and some great music and sfx! If you have any questions about cinematography or shooting in general, leave me a comment below and I'll answer them all. The music used here throughout the story is "The Winner Is" by Devotchka from the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack. If you've been following these short stories since last year, you'll recognize Alexandra, who's the girl (now my fiancee) but if you haven't had a chance to check the previous ones, I highly suggest you do! <title>Scorpions - Wind of Change Music Video (Fan Made)</title>
<description>Don't forget to give us a thumbs up and share this with your friends! This music video was shot in Transylvania and Bucharest in Mid-May 2011. Shot on the Canon T2i with a 35 mm lens. The aerial shots were filmed from a motorized paraglider (excuse the shakyness in some areas). It's basically just a steel cage with a canopy on top and a 4 stroke propeller in the back. The first castle is Bran Castle, also known as "Dracula's Castle". The rest of the footage was shot in and around the vicinity of Bucharest. I decided to use the Berliner Philarmonic version of the song because the score is just epic. <title>Flying Backwards</title>
<description>What if your landing was your take off and your take off was your landing? Here's an eccentric take on the concept behind stories told backwards. Due to that airplanes take off and land with similar trajectories we were able to reverse the beginning and end of our story and the result was us filming a leisure flight over the Los Angeles airspace where everything you see is going backwards. Please share this with your friends! The aircraft is a Cirrus SR-20 (www.cirrusdesign.com) with the Avidyne Entegra Avionics Suite. In case of an emergency, the aircraft has a ballistic rocket propelled parachute that will launch up and deploy, bringing the entire aircraft safely to the ground. Please share this with your friends! We were chosen by Youtube as one of the Top 4 rising stars of April 2011! We need your votes to win the coveted spot on the homepage! Watch our newest partner collaboration with Freddie: The Real World of Freddie Wong www.youtube.com One of the most difficult accomplishments here on Youtube is to enter the Top 100 most subscribed channels. When you reach the Top 50, you're considered royalty as everyone tries to share the wealth of the 2nd largest search engine in the world. When you reach the Top 20, you're now a celebrity in your own right, not to mention, in the eyes of millions. You're most likely also cashing in quite a big paycheck as a Youtube Partner. In less than a year, Freddie Wong (freddiew) has accomplished all of this and is on his way to breaking the Top 10 in just a few months. He's been able to do this by combining his talents behind and infront of the camera as well as finding a perfect niche and outlet to display his force and creativity along with his partner, Brandon Laatsch. The Comedy/VFX/Action duo have collaborated with everyone from Ray William Johnson to Kevin Pollack. There is no one like them as Freddie and Brandon carry the personality and talent that will propel them and many other Youtube Stars into unknown territory as social media and original content on the web evolves. <description>Welcome to Episode 2 of Filmmaking Tips and Tricks. This time we are focusing on how we created the sound design for Chapter 1 of our brand new (and still untitled) action web series. We take a 10 second excerpt from the short and break down each sound element that was used so that you can apply the same principles to your own films. This week, you won't need to edit the short, but instead, create the sound design for it. We are giving you the source file in 1080p and you will have to provide each element of sound on this piece, everything from dialogue, to sound fx and background music. Get as creative as you possibly can! Who knows, maybe in your world, humans bark instead of speak! You get the point ;) Here is the link to download the source file, attached is also a TXT file with instructions, tips and contest rules. <description>This is Episode 1 of our new tutorial series, aimed at exploring the complex world of meshing visual art, moving pictures and story telling. We go practical and simply show you how we put together our previous Youtube short which was originally created to compliment this tutorial. We go over basic cinematic composition, rule of thirds, the importance of matching eyelines between two characters and how to build a short sequence. We show you all main shot types that most directors use when constructing a scene. We then go into a shot by shot breakdown of our latest short film My Bloody Valentine, explaining why we chose to use one shot type versus another based on the emotional tone of the scene - the latter being a crucial part of the story telling process. Contest (Ends April 1st, 2011): Win James Cameron's Avatar 3 Disc Special Edition on Blu-Ray! We want you edit your own version of this short film and be as creative as you possibly can with it. We are providing you with a project file containing all the raw footage. Everything is of course properly categorized. This is a Final Cut Pro 7 project file, but if you use any other editing software you can still use the raw files (ProRes 422 files). <title>Magic Drumsticks Time Freeze</title>
<description>Something happens when someone drinks all the juice in the house. The visual effects were done with Photoshop, After Effects CS5 and Final Cut Pro. I cloned myself and timed myself during the dialogue and then used rotoscoping whenever both clones crossed. Like the video? Leave a comment! <title>When We Were Kids - A Timeless Love Story in Eastern Europe</title>
<description>Synopsys: This short story has no dialogue and is carried solely by its score conveying the feeling of what it was like for two people to fall in love in Eastern Europe during the winter months. This is the continuation of "Girl Meets Boy" which was put up on our channel a few weeks back. Don't forget to rate and favorite! Shot in Romania and Sweden over a period of 2 weeks on a single Canon 7D with a 35mm f1.8 lens, no accessories. The slow-motion shots were shot in 60fps and conformed to 24p to achieve the smooth effect. The aspect ratio was changed to anamorphic 2.35:1 in post. The original "When We Were Kids" was titled "Waiting for Bucharest" and was carried by Gns N' Roses "November Rain".
